The French beret as a Rugby World Cup licensee!

France hosted the 10th Rugby World Cup, exactly 200 years after the sport was invented in 1823.

Surprisingly, it was also 200 years ago that the beret took its name, and was recognised as an everyday accessory. After having been a simple felt hat, and before becoming a fashion accessory. Throughout these 200 years, berets and rugby have evolved together.
