FFR

In the wake of the 2023 World Cup, Le Béret Français is accompanying players and supporters to showcase the pride of our symbol of France.

After the 10th Rugby World Cup in France, exactly 200 years after the sport was invented in 1823, when William Webb-Ellis, an English student, did something "out of the ordinary" by catching the ball in his hand and running with it, LBF continues to accompany Rugby.

Surprisingly, it was also 200 years ago that the beret took its name, and was recognised as an everyday accessory. After being a simple felt hat, it became a fashion accessory.

Throughout these 200 years, berets and rugby have gone hand in hand. Strong in the same regions, a symbol of the South-West and of France, the beret is still widely worn today at all rugby events, with the Nations Cup a priority!
