100% organic cotton beret
A NEW ADDITION TO THE ECOLO RANGE:
The first French 100% organic cotton beret!
Le Beret Français has been manufacturing its berets since 2012 in the Pyrénées Atlantiques (64).
First and foremost, it's in the brand's DNA to be eco-responsible. Since its inception, every decision has been taken with a view to avoiding waste, and being accessible with the best value for money in the world!
And with Printemps' lines of berets, we're as eco-responsible as they come, with a beret made from 100% recycled fiber.
The ecochic beret is made from recycled fibers from the luxury industry, and is always soft and supple.
Ecojean is post-consumer recycled: our jeans are reprocessed to make a beret from 100% recycled fiber.
In 2022, we're launching a new baby: the 100% organic cotton beret.
Because opting for 100% organic cotton means preserving our planet: the material requires less water, soils are not depleted and no toxic products are used. Join us in this anti-pollution action!
Organic cotton is grown without pesticides, insecticides or chemicals. Natural compost replaces chemical fertilizers, and neither chlorine nor heavy metals are used in the manufacturing process. It does no harm to the biodiversity of animal species living in the vicinity, and above all to the health of producers, who will not come into contact with chemicals. In this way, chronic illnesses in producers and long-term soil pollution are avoided.
Because it's the first 100% organic beret made in France, thanks to the French beret, you can be at the cutting edge of fashion while respecting the environment!
Comfortable and ultra-soft to the touch, wearing this beret puts your head in the clouds. Thanks to the particularly strong fibers of organic cotton, these berets are extremely robust and durable. Soft and supple, they're ideal for half-season wear.
Available in a range of colors, it gives a sophisticated look, while respecting the environment.
We chose to collaborate with a local artisan from the 64, Clémence Pichard, in her Supernaturelles workshop, helped us develop the colors based on ancient recipes and techniques, and carries out the dyes for us.
"Vegetable dyeing is based on ancestral know-how," says Candice. "It requires experience, patience and a good knowledge of plants and textile fibers. Natural dyeing meets a very strong ethical and ecological demand in today's textile sector."
The powders come from Green'ing, thanks to Patrick Brenac for his research work and his plant extracts, which enable precise dosages and therefore reproducible colors.
For the pink: Candice used mostly Garance, a colorant harvested from the roots.
Beige: Chestnut, which is unique in that it comes from Occitanie,
Yellow: comes from a plant called reseda, which produces luminous yellows,
Purple: from an exotic wood,
Green: from chlorophyll.
Plant colors will develop a patina over time, changing slightly in contact with the sun, but always remaining incomparable.
The result is breathtaking, pastel colors but very natural, man and nature are really at the heart of this new product. The goal of respecting nature, producers and our customers has been achieved!
